K2 & Co. is seeking a Fundraising Specialist to help manage a variety of development clients that include political candidates, conservative think tanks and community-oriented non-profits. From managing annual galas to building relationships with donors, you will be an instrumental part of our development team.
K2 & Co. is a growing Public Relations, Public Affairs and Fundraising agency in the Twin Cities with clients across the Midwest and nationally. Our firm’s services include strategic communications, media relations, public affairs advocacy, social media services, media training, campaign consulting, and fundraising and development. We are looking for a Fundraising Specialist who can multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to helping our clients succeed.
Please note this K2 role will be working on center right-leaning clients and political work. You must be comfortable and able to work with clients that align with these values.
This role is a full time, salaried position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:

Support development team and help lead on a wide variety of fundraising client accounts

Build and maintain relationships with clients, donors, event management staff, etc.

Draft short and long form written materials including emails, invitations, thank you letters and social media content

Work events from registration to execution

Manage CRM databases and donor information, maintaining current records, grant tracking and reporting

Cultivate and develop a robust donor pipeline for clients

Oversee portfolios of current donors, ensuring continuity for the client, as well as growing relationships both externally and internally

Execute a full range of activities related to preparing, submitting and managing grant applications from foundation and corporate sources

Collaborate and lead on brainstorming, strategy and execution on behalf of clients and the firm
Requirements:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience; previous political, fundraising, and/or events experience preferred

Excellent written and communication skills

Ability to multitask and work on a wide variety of projects, including some that are political in nature

Willingness to learn, grow and be part of the K2 team

Strong attention to detail

Ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of discretion and good judgment

Location: The K2 & Co. office is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and we are currently working a hybrid schedule with office days and remote days. Candidates must be based in Minnesota.
